Eyes of Laura Mars
A script by Halloween-era John Carpenter was transformed into a studio project with Irvin Kershner at the helm and Faye Dunaway in the lead. Slarek wasn't a fan at the time of the film's release, but has since warmed to its qualities, despite some remaining gripes.
Barbara Hershey is superb as a single mother who suffers repeated sexual assaults at the hand of an invisible assailant in a smarter-than-it sounds 1982 horror work from Sidney J. Furie. Slarek wrestles with the social politics and reviews Eureka's new Blu-ray.
