THE SACRAMENT (USA 2013)
Limited Edition Blu-ray (£29.99) | Blu-ray (£17.99) | 17 June 2024
Director: Ti West
Starring: AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, Amy Seimetz
A small documentary film crew accompanies a man as he travels to Eden Parish in search of his missing sister. It soon becomes apparent that this paradise is not what it seems.
Often cited as the most underseen and underated film from director Ti West (The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers, X, Pearl), The Sacrament is a genuinely chilling and dread-driven work, one that takes inspiration from the story of the Jim Jones led Peoples Temple cult and is surprisingly faithful to its deeply disturbing source material.
