Eureka! to make Jackie Chan's Police Story Trilogy its first 4K UHD release

Eureka! have announced the release of its very first 4K Ultra HD titles. One of the most action-packed trilogies in cinema history, The Police Story Trilogy will make its worldwide Ultra HD Blu-ray debut from stunning 4K restorations on 26 September 2022.
Commenting on the new development, the company's Managing Director, Ruth Schofield stated:

So, it was always only going to be a matter of time before we embraced this state of the art, high-end format; enabling us to continue to present the finest in cult and world cinema to the highest possible standard. We are very proud to present the series of films that revitalised the Hong Kong action genre and established Jackie Chan as a worldwide superstar, as our very first UHD release, and look forward to bringing you more UHD releases in the future, including our first UHD Masters of Cinema release."
The trilogy will be released in a Limited-Edition set (4000 copies only) which will feature a Hardbound Slipcase & 100-page Collector's Booklet.
In addition to the trilogy, the thrill-a-minute third instalment in the series – Police Story 3: Supercop, starring Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once) alongside Chan – will be released on Blu-ray for the first time ever in the UK as a part of the Eureka Classics range, presented from a brand new 4K restoration. Available from 26 September 2022, the first print-run of 3000 copies will feature a Limited-Edition O-card Slipcase, Lobby Cards & Collector's Booklet.

Police Story (dir. Jackie Chan, 1985) Considered by Jackie Chan himself to be his best film in terms of pure action, Police Story stars Chan as "super cop" Chan Ka-Kui, who goes up against a notorious crime lord in a series of escalating set-pieces that resulted in many of Jackie's stunt team being hospitalised.
Police Story 2 (dir. Jackie Chan, 1988)
Demoted to traffic cop after the events of the first film, Chan Ka-Kui is reinstated to the detective unit when a deadly gang of explosive experts blow up a building and threaten to blow up more if their demands are not met. Featuring yet more bravura stunt work, and even more injuries to its cast and crew, Police Story 2 is to this day considered one of the best action films ever made.
Police Story 3: Supercop (dir. Stanley Tong, 1992)
Action superstar Michelle Yeoh joins the series as Inspector Yang Chien-Hua, who teams up with Chan Ka-Kui to take down an international drug ring.
