Ben Wheatley's High-Rise on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download in July

6 June 2016

1975. Two miles west of London, Dr. Robert Laing moves into his new apartment seeking soulless anonymity, only to find that the building’s residents have no intention of leaving him alone. Resigned to the complex social dynamics unfolding around him, Laing bites the bullet and becomes neighbourly. As he struggles to establish his position, Laing’s good manners and sanity disintegrate along with the building. The lights go out and the lifts fail but the party goes on. People are the problem. Booze is the currency. Sex is the panacea. Only much later, as he sits on his balcony eating the architect’s dog, does Dr. Robert Laing finally feel at home.

High-Rise features a hugely impressive ensemble cast led by Tom Hiddleston (The Night Manager, Thor) that includes Sienna Miller (Burnt, Foxcatcher), Luke Evans (The Hobbit, Dracula Untold), Elisabeth Moss (Madmen, Truth), Jeremy Irons (The Borgias, Dead Ringers), Keeley Hawes (Ashes to Ashes, The Hollow Crown), Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil, Lucky Man), James Purefoy (Rome, The Following), Peter Ferdinando (A Field in England, Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur), Augustus Prew (Kick Ass 2, The Village), Stacy Martin (Nymph()maniac, The Last Photograph), Enzo Cilenti (Jekyll & Hyde, Free Fire), Dan Skinner (Notes on Blindness, The Ghoul) and Reece Shearsmith (A Field in England, Inside No.9).

Directed by Ben Wheatley (Kill List, Sightseers, A Field in England), produced by Jeremy Thomas (Only Lovers Left Alive, The Last Emperor) and written by Amy Jump (Sightseers, A Field in England), High-Rise has an original score by Clint Mansell and features a cover of SOS recorded for the film by Portishead.
