6 November 2015
After winning the U.S. Grand Jury Prize for a Documentary at Sundance 2015, and the Best Documentary Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2015, Crystal Moselle's fascinating The Wolfpack comes to UK Blu-ray, DVD and Digital in December.
As adolescence looms, six intelligent, bright, teenage brothers have spent their entire lives locked away from society. Their only knowledge of the outside world is gained from their love of watching, and recreating movies. Nicknamed ‘The Wolfpack’, the brothers spend their childhood re-enacting their favourite films using elaborate homemade props and costumes.
With no friends and living on welfare, they feed their curiosity, creativity, and imagination with film. But when one of the brothers ventures outside, it sparks a fire in the Wolfpack to follow suit. Can they integrate into society and still maintain their close-knit brotherhood?
Combined with unprecedented access into The Wolfpack’s world, and their vast archive of homemade movies, director Crystal Moselle crafts a captivating portrait of an extraordinary family. By fully immersing herself into their world, she is able to delve into the true nature of identity and creativity, by letting their remarkable story naturally unfold on camera, without judgement.
Described as "A genuine must-see" by Little White Lies and The Los Angeles Times as "an extraordinary true-life tale of brothers who saved one another," The Wolfpack will be released by Spectrum on Digital on 14th December 2015 and on UK Blu-ray and DVD on 28th December 2015 at the RRP of £19.99 for the Blu-ray and £17.99 for the DVD.
No extra features have been announced so far, but we live in hope.
