Smash and Grab & Now and Forever on DVD in October

Network have announced a further two titles for UK October DVD reelase in their ongoing 'The British Film' Collection, the 30s comedic crime thriller Smash and Grab and the 50s drama Now and Forever.
Smash and Grab (1937)
John Forrest, an insurance investigator with a weakness for model railways, is on the trail of a gang of smash-and-grab thieves targeting Europe's most prestigious jewellers. As the chase leads him to Ireland, Forrest finds he needs help – and who better to call upon than his impossibly elegant, highly capable wife, Alice?
Forming a hugely popular screen partnership during the interwar years, dapper comic player Jack Buchanan (The Band Wagon) and musical star Elsie Randolph (Frenzy) bring a characteristic élan to this stylish and entertaining crime caper from the late 1930s.
Directed by Q Planes' Tim Whelan, Smash and Grab (released in the US as Larceny Street) is presented here in a brand-new transfer from the original film elements, in its as-exhibited theatrical aspect ratio.
Smash and Grab will be released on UK DVD on 19th October 2015 at the RRP of £9.99, courtesy of Network’s ‘The British Film’ collection.

Now and Forever (1956)
Janette Grant is a lonely schoolgirl with divorced parents. She lives with her mother in a provincial town, where she falls in love with Mike, the son of a local garage owner. Appalled on discovering the alliance, Mrs Grant decides to send Janette to Canada. When a desperate bid to kill herself thankfully fails, the young girl hatches a plan to elope with Mike to Gretna Green…
Based on R.F. Delderfield’s play The Orchard Walls, former child star Janette Scott (The Day of the Triffids) stars opposite Vernon Gray (To Paris With Love) ina story of runaway romance that transcends the class barrier.
