British horror thriller Bait comes to DVD in September

12 July 2015

Bex (Victoria Smurfit – The Beach, About a Boy) and Dawn (Joanne Mitchell – Before Dawn) are trapped. Everyday they work the same market food stall, selling the same food to the same low lifes. They dream of taking control of their lives and owning their own upmarket cafe, but they meet constant rejection. No one will give people like them a loan, and certainly not in this financial climate. Then they meet Jeremy (Jonathan Slinger – A Knight's Tale), an independent businessman who offers to fund their dream. Shocked and thrilled, they accept – but all too soon the true motives for Jeremy's kind offer shine through.

He is a vicious loan shark- his ways and means are as unforgiving as his capacity for terror and cruelty. Unable to meet his outrageous payment demands, Bex and Dawn must find it within themselves to turn the tables on their viciously calculated aggressor, leading to a maelstrom of bloody, savage and pitiless retribution.

Described by Flickering Feats as "A foreboding thriller obviously influenced by the best in the genre, it’s an assault on the senses that no movie fan should be without," Bait is the second feature as director from actor Dominic Brunt, best known to UK TV audiences as veterinarian Paddy Kirk in Emmerdale and whose first film as director was the zombie movie Before Dawn.

Bait will be released on UK DVD on 7th September 2015 by Metrodome at the RRP of £15.99.

No extra features have been listed.
