Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey on DVD and Blu-ray in June

8 June 2014

Fired from his job as a cover band singer in Hong Kong, Filipino musician Arnel Pineda had little hope for the future. That was until the iconic American rock band Journey saw an internet video of Arnel's band and decided to give him a shot at becoming their new lead singer.

Directed, written and produced by award-winning Filipino-American documentary filmmaker Ramona S Diaz (Imelda), Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey tells the real life rock-n-roll fairytale story of Filipino Arnel Pineda, who was plucked from obscurity to become the front man for American rock band, Journey. The documentary was picked for Official Selection at the Tribeca Film Festival, San Francisco International Film Festival and Silverdocs Documentary Festival, where it received rave reviews. Others have been more cautious in the praise, with CineVue striking a balance when they called it "amiable and appealing," adding that "Pineda is charismatic, self-effacing and humorous – his impoverished upbringing adding further resonance to the rags-to-riches story arc."

Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey will be released on UK DVD and Blu-ray on 30th June 2014 by Kaleidoscope Entertainment at the RRP of £15.99 for the DVD and £17.99 for the Blu-ray.

The listed extras are 5 mini-features, but we don't know what they're about. Well, not yet, anyway.
