If you think that Robot Chicken sounds like a dodgy '50s science fiction cheapie then you've misse dout on one of the real pleasures of modern American animated comedy. Created by actor Seth Green (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Austin Powers, Family Guy), the show consists of often wickedly funny send-ups of movies and TV favourites using dolls and action figures and its semi-amateur aesthetic has become as much part of its style as it's sharp comedy, and the jury's still out on whether it's hilarious Star Wars send up actually tops Family Guy: Blue Harvest in the parody stakes.

Set in war-torn France at the dawn of the 20th century, Robot Chicken – Season 4 is the story of a young, orphaned blind girl. Forced to work in a steel mill to survive, she quickly wins over the other workers with her eccentric, innocent hopefulness. Titan Maximum – Season 1

From Robot Chicken creator Seth Green, Titan Maximum has been a big hit in the US and is now screening on FX in the UK.

Leon: The former Titan Force Five monkey butler, Leon is a graduate of the Military Primate Training Academy, which places highly skilled monkeys into exceptionally crappy jobs for zero pay, so humans don't have to do them. Leon cannot—or perhaps will not—speak English, and communicates almost entirely with contemptuous stares and occasional eye-rolls.
