From the producers of London to Brighton comes a darkly comic, award-winning thriller, Crying with Laughter, the impressive debut feature from director Justin Molotnikov.
Crying with laughter tells the story of stand-up comedian Joey Frisk (Stephen McCole – Band of Brothers, Rushmore), whose life is on a downward spiral. During the most important week of his life, Joey finds himself battling a drug problem, failing to do the right thing by his family and under arrest for attempted murder. As things start to look bleak, an old friend, Frank Archer (Malcolm Shields) offers Joey some much needed help, but Frank has an ulterior motive and if Joey thought his life was bad before, he has no idea what's in store at Frank's 'special' get together.
Crying with Laughter won the Best feature award at 2009 Scottish Bafta awards and is being touted as a fresh, lean slice of modern British filmmaking at its best.
