Spanish thrillers have done rather well in recent years, including Juan Antonio Bayona's The Orphanage,Jorge Sánchez-Cabezudo too little seen Night of the Sunflowers (La noche de los girasoles), and of course Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth. Whether director Gabe Ibáñez's Hierro lives up to the acclaim of its predecessors is something we'll be able to judge when it's released on UK DVD and Blu-ray on 26th July by Optimum Home Entertainment at the RRP of £17.99 for the DVD, £19.99 for the Blu-ray. The only listed extra is a trailer, but the Blu-ray will have DTS Master-HD 5.1 surround sound. |
