Let's Get Lost (Feature - 1989)
Traveling with the elusive jazz vocalist and trumpeter Chet Baker, Bruce Weber weaves together the life story of a jazz great. The film uses excerpts from Italian B movies, rare performance footage, and candid interviews with Baker, musicians, friends, battling ex-wives and his children in what turned out to be the last year of his life. Winner of the 1989 Critics Prize at the Venice Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award, Let's Get Lost has become an important document in the career of the filmmaker on the life of a jazz legend. Since its release in 1989 Let's Get Lost has introduced a whole new generation of jazz enthusiasts to the timeless talent of the late Chet Baker.

Broken Noses (Feature - 1987)
Weber's exploration of the ideal of manhood and machismo tells the story of professional lightweight boxer Andy Minsker. The film traces Andy's boxing career with the U.S. Olympic Boxing Association, his fights in Las Vegas and his training of the young men of his small boxing club in Portland, Oregon whom he's almost adopted as his own sons.
Disc 3:
Chop Suey (Feature - 2000)
Just like its namesake, Chop Suey is a delicious mix of ingredients, both amusing and flavoursome. Bruce Weber, introduces gorgeous teenage wrestling star, Peter Johnson, to his personal universe. Whether recreating the music and life of cabaret star Frances Faye, appreciating the wily wit of Diana Vreeland, or considering his own world-class collection of still photographs, Weber imparts a deeply felt humanity. He is a man for whom love, loyalty, friendship, humour and beauty – be it a superb torso or sensitive jaw-line, a bounding, golden-haired retriever, or a pristine waterscape – is all important. Chop Suey brilliantly encompasses Weber's myriad passions and fantasies, his almost Peter Pan-like relationship to those objects of desire the rest of us experience in the glossy magazines or on towering billboards.
Extras:
- The Boy Artist (short film);
- You Feel Men (short film).
Disc 4:
A Letter to True (Feature - 2003)
Bruce Weber is a professed animal lover, and this film centers on his own dogs, a family of gorgeous golden retrievers, including "True." A Letter to True is a stunning look at the affection, loyalty, and unconditional love displayed by these animals – which the filmmaker sees as a metaphor for peace and hope in the world. In a highly personal commentary, Weber interweaves his personal obsessions: music of the '50's and '60s, home movies of Dirk Bogarde in Provence; conversations with Elizabeth Taylor (another great dog lover), recollections of friendships past, and speculation about how our lives have been changed by the events of 9/11. Tying these various strands together with a poet's logic, A Letter to True is a little like staying up late with Bruce Weber, listening to great music and peeking into the mind of a world-class connoisseur. With narration by Julie Christie and Marianne Faithfull.
