Even in the realms of titles that are inviting flack in a post-feminist age, Strip Nude for Your Killer is really asking for it, but does establish its genre to anyone who's even remotely horror-aware, especially when you know it's a translation of the original Italian Nude per l'assassino. Yep, we're talking 1970s giallo here and one that we are promised lives up to it's sleazy title. Trust Shameless to dig this one up and remaster it for UK DVD release.
The death of a fashion model leads to a revenge-driven trail of death that soon has the modelling agency she worked for in a frenzy of panic. In the middle of this kink-fest is the dependably beautiful Edwige Fenech (who recently revisited the horror genre with a role in Hostel, Part II) doing all she can to avoid being the next to shed her clothes for a killer who likes their victims easy on the eye and stripped for the kill. From the mind of Burial Ground director Andrea Bianchi comes a gloriously trashy movie riddled with unnecessary but (to genre fans at least) welcome top-drawer nudity and awash with neon red blood, but most importantly a well-made film that delivers wave after wave of guilty exploitation pleasure.
Strip Nude For Your Killer (cert. 18) will be released uncut on DVD at the RRP of £12.99 by Shameless Screen Entertainment on 27th October 2008. The film will be presented remastered in 2.35:1 with English 2.0 sound. Also included on the disc is a Shameless original trailer gallery.
