Bossa Brazil: Stories of Love is a documentary by Paulo Thiago that examines the history of the musical movement that revolutionised popular music in the late 1950s, starting with the release of Chega De Saudande (No More Blues) in 1958, through to the early 1960s went bossa nova went on to achieve international recognition and acclaim following the now legendary performance at New York's Carnegie Hall in 1962.

Hosted by two of the greatest exponents of the form, Roberto Menescal and Carlos Lyra, the film tells the story the music from its origins in the clubs in Rio de Janeiro to the present day, taking us back in time to the places, events and people who shaped bossa nova.

As long-time friends who each played a key role, Menescal and Lyra revisit many of the Rio bars, clubs and beaches where musical history was made, while sharing amusing stories and anecdotes that give a rare and personal insight into the unforgettable era of musical creativity.

Included are interviews, exclusive performances and rare footage from many of bossa nova's original artists, including Joao and Astrud Gilberto, Elizete Cardosa, Johnny Alf, Alaide Costa, Joao Donato, Billy Blanco, Lenny Andrade, Nara Leao, Silvia Telles, Vinicius De Morais, Ronaldo Boscoli, Cris Delano, Wanda Sa and Joyce. Special mention is made to maestro Antonio Carlos 'Tom' Jobim, composer of bossa nova's most famous songs, including The Girl from Ipenema, Desafinado and One Note Samba.

Bossa Brazil: Stories of Love will be released on 14th July 2008 by Warner Music Entertainment UK at the RRP of £19.99. The anamorphic widescreen picture and Dolby 2.0 stereo soundtrack will be joined by a Bonus Song Selection featuring a further 12 song.
